Best Med Consultants, PA is a practice focused on occupational medicine. This means we are devoted to the prevention, treatment, and management of work-related injuries and illnesses. Our services include physicals of all types: pre-employment, DOT, Hazmat, fitness-for-duty. We also perform drug and alcohol testing under the direction of our certified Medical Review Officer. Treatment for work-related injuries is prompt, comprehensive, and focused on returning employees to the hightest level of function as soon as possible. Best Med also provides independent medical examinations (IMEs) for business and industry. These exams are desired when there is a question concerning someone's need for treatment, to assess causal relationship, fitness for duty, permanent impairment, or to address other unresolved issues. Dr. Pinsky has performed thousands of such exams and testifies in support of his findings when necessary. Best Med also has a consulting arm that provides peer reviews, policy development on health issues in the workplace, ergonomic analysis, health promotion, and absence review. Since we have special training in regulatory compliance and remain abreast of current standards of treatment, we are adept at assisting companies in monitoring FMLA, LTD, and other absences. About our Medical Director:
 Tim Pinsky, DO, MPH, is board-certified in occupational and environmental medicine, preventive medicine, and family practice. He is also certified as an independent medical examiner and medical review officer. His credentials are unique in the Delaware Valley. For the last five years, Dr. Pinsky has been the Medical Director at Amtrak. He served in a similar role for Vlasic Foods International, Cardiometrix, ASB Meditest, and Prevention Specialists. He brings the breadth of his corporate and clinical experience to every patient encounter, medical evaluation, and corporate consultation that he performs.
Dr. Pinsky has nearly two decades of experience in New Jersey and Pennsylvania evaluating, treating, and managing work-related injuries. He is board-certified in three specialties including Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Family Practice. He is also a Certified Medical Review Officer and Disability Evaluator. He has been Medical Director of a distinguished hospital-based occupational medicine program as well.
He is an instructor in Occupational Medicine at two area medical schools. Dr. Pinsky has authored research in this field and lectures frequently to local and national organizations.
A graduate of Columbia University and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Pinsky completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and earned his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan.
Dr. Pinsky's achievements are recognized by his appointments to the National Medical Advisory Service, and as a Fellow of' both the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians.
